Church Choirs
We had a GREAT church service this morning, the choir from Quail Springs and our church choir teamed up to make for some terrific songs. One song that really got to me was "10,000 Angels Cried", WOW! I had never really listened to that song before, one of the Quail Springs choir members sang it as a solo, absolutely beautiful. What great words and the music and singing were right on as well. And, of course, our preacher gave us a really great message to go with all of the great singing!
After the service we all joined up in the fellowship hall for lunch and it is always fun to visit with everyone after church and catch up on the news of the day and week. After this Vicki and I just came home and basically did nothing but rest and relax at last! Fun!
I finished my first research paper of the semester in my history class, a so interesting topic of "The Mexican Revolution of 1910". Ugh, could it get much more boring than that? I know that it was a very significant historical event but man, it made for some pretty brutal reading and then trying to convey all of that information into a paper that made sense. I really struggled on this paper, hope the teacher is very nice and lenient.
The Sabinal High School Basketball team is still undefeated and will play in the area championship game in Castroville tomorrow night. They have enjoyed the best season in the history of SHS, I believe they are 30-0 right now and ranked 6th in the state. What an accomplishment and I wish them well the rest of the way!
We enjoyed another fabulous day weatherwise today, it began slightly cool but warmed up into the upper 60's again. One problem with today was that there was a little too much wind for me. It began blowing pretty stout out of the south after lunch, and right before sundown I noticed a few clouds beginning to take over the skyways. Chance of rain tomorrow and Tuesday.
Okay, gang, two in a row for me, let's see if I can continue this string. See ya!
